Well, I know this nursery rhyme ends rather badly, but I do like the way it starts out!
I've been meaning to make a baby picture for years and I'm glad my friends are having a baby to finally prompt me to do one. I'll also have one for sale in
my Etsy shop soon. :)
Love your art.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely darling! I can't decide if I like it better uncolored or with this lovely tinting... c'mon, friends' babies - arrive so I have reason to get this card and send to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary Jo and Katy!
ReplyDeleteFun to see this earlier in black and white and now in color. And as far as the ending to the nursery rhyme, I agree - it needs work. I always sang it to my child as "rock a bye baby, on the treetop. When the wind blows, the cradle will rock. When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall, and down will come baby... into my arms." It doesn't rhyme, but at least it's comforting and not nightmare-inducing. Thanks for sharing this, and thanks as well for participating in the 2012 Comment Challenge!
