Summer Garden
I'm working on a couple of garden drawings. Here's a little redhead watering a really big sunflower. Today we had a lot of those cloud flowers hovering around. I'm hoping for sunshine tomorrow!
Thanks Kjersten! I was sitting next to my husband while drawing it and he actually seemed a little frustrated with me. He said, "When I think of growing a garden, I think of carrots and tomatoes. You seem to be growing suns and planets or something." Like I'd finally lost my mind. But isn't that the fun of drawing? Anything can come to life with imagination and maybe a little watering can. :)
This is such a magical sort of image. I'm a poor gardener and neglect my little patch of the earth dreadfully, but when I do get stuck into it, you've captured the headspace - life growing and swirling all around me.
I like the clouds and sun growing out of the little girl's efforts. This is a lovely drawing.
