After you sign up, you get a creative brief with a downloadable pdf of visuals, trend information, color suggestions, and tips. If you make the top 50 artists, you get another brief. There are three rounds total, and the winner gets representation by Lilla Rogers for 2 years. :)

Illustration Friday: Liquid

This week's Illustration Friday word is Liquid and I'm working on a drawing that would be perfect for that prompt. But these days I work so slowly because of having a newborn baby that there's no way it would be done! So just for the fun of it, here's a print from last year that's full of liquid.

Dreaming of Flowers

Here's a drawing from my sketchbook that I'm going to turn into a linocut. Lots of places around the country are already in full spring season, but in my town, the early flowers are just starting to bloom. I LOOOOVE spring flowers!

I've also been wanting to do some more decorative pieces, so this one and the next sketch I'm working on have a more decorative flavor. Two of my inspirations in that area are artists Julie Paschkis and Pamela Zagarenski. Check out their gorgeous artwork!
